searching website http://uboat.net
i came across u124 the ixb i am at present commanding it is quite ironic this sub was sunk by hms stonecrop flower class corvette built at smith dock southbank on tees, which is about one mile from my home and the british sloop hms black swan, alas like most ship building in the uk gone. uboat.net index has all uboat numbers and is well worth a look this is some of the info i retrieved.
