, first let me say that I don't think there will be TF size fleets online... One for the FPS drop, and also for rthe sake of connection. Naww, a carrier, 2 destroyers and a cruiser should enough.

This is not enough, you may say. Now, the Flak will provide a decent protection for the CV. And there is also one more thing to have limited CV escort. The reason is simple :

This will boost both teamwork and multiplay.
More people will fly CAP and they will be quite determined to stop the incoming strike. Nobody would like to have their base sunk, don't they? Also, this will increase the level of cooperation between the strike planes on one side, and the cooperation between Strike and fighter escort on the other.

And if we don't get a ground controller("bogies, 1-4-1, altitude 14 000 ft, distance 40 miles") , CAP fliers will have to be more careful and watchful. We could even have zones of patrol assigned!!!

I am going to watch how the CAP control will work out. (btw, its not "ground control" is it? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )

I am waiting for Vals to drop onto USA carriers with no warning, decks loaded with fuel and Ace USA dogfighters in Corsairs with opened canopies and folded wings.

The Ace dogfighters will Riot.

I would love for all this CAP control and Radar to be possible in this game, but I'm betting we'll have to wait for a version of Pacific Fighters using the BoB engine. Like 2007-8.
