Salute,
i just wonder, from where oleg get the FM data of the Mustang ?
if i take , as an example, the P47 problem about the wrong rollrate, is it not better to work close together with people like RAF74_Buzz and Skychimp and get the performance of the Mustang correct ? ( when it is flyable)
or does oleg it already ?

Bavaria is one of the oldest European states.
It dates back to about 500 A.D., when the Roman Empire was overcome by the onslaught of Germanic tribes. According to a widespread theory, the Bavarian tribe had descended from the Romans who remained in the country, the original Celtic population and the Germanic invaders.

i don't know if you noticed, but the P51 is already included in the game... I think Oleg already have much infos about its FM, he had to use them to make the IA FM, even if IA are using a simplified FM...

and by the way, i think i would have better confidence if the person bringing additionnal datas to oleg wasn't american...

sorry, but i can't stop thinking americans are a bit biased when it comes to american stuff...

Gotta admit Yanks are running the biggest prevention campaign yet. They want to make absolutely surre that the P51 won`t be overmodelled/undermodelled.The start of this campaign took place looong before FB.I`m scared when I imagine what would happen if P51 turned out to be porked.

LOL!

"Americans are biased toward American stuff"

Yup. And Brits are biased towards British stuff
The French and biased towards French stuff
Aussies are biased towards Australian stuff

And so and and so forth

Don't reply with the "No I am from X country and we are not biased towards things from our country" because it's CRAP and if you really want me to beleive that, you're either suffereing from a serious head trauma or you're selling something!

Get your attitudes towards people from other countries from some place other than the internet! There's altogether too many xenophobes around here and it doesn't help anyone, or FB, one bit.

If you'd be afraid that Oleg accepted data on the Mustang from me because I was born in the USA, that is YOUR problem, not mine. Punish me IF I fail, not because you're AFRAID of me failing!!

Ignoring or not wanting to acknowledge a source of information based on your PREJUDICE would be STUPID. If I want info on German planes, I'd like to reference Gerrman info. If I want info on Russian planes, the best source would tend to be Russian, wouldn't it?

Americans are biased towards America...LOL! Well, no kidding! LOL

Maybe not, but I have met people from all over the world and I judge them on who they are, not where they're from.

I'm sick and tired of people who tell me that my opinion can't be valid because I'm from the USA, or that it's wrong for me to have pride in my country.

When somebody says, "I am afraid of an American bringing information to Oleg" even if that person doesn't MEAN to be insulting, he IS being insulting.

The insult notwithstanding, it's a silly and counterproductive standpoint that mysteriously has gotten a level of credence among people in the FB community. I like to beleive most people here are intelligent, but then I see something like that statement. I beleive the poster is intelligent, but his pre-conceived notions are not.

Whether or not it was meant as an insult, it is a suggestion that an American would not have valuable input simply because he's American. I don't like it.

There is probably more information out there to get the P-51 flight model correct than any other fighter of it's era.

I believe Oleg has said he knows someone with an actual P-51 Mustang as well.

Opinion biased or not have nothing to do with pride, i know a lot of proud AND honest people.

ROFL...Hell guys...if we all got along and we weren't biased to our own country's kit, you think we would be playing a flight sim about a war that claimed over 30 million people in the ETO alone?

To me it matter's not where the source of information comes from. All that matters is that it is in black and white and correct, yes we are proud of our Mustang and for very good reason. But tell me of one Brit who isn't proud of the Spitfire or Hurrie, of One Russian who isn't proud of the Yaks or La's. No American here seriously want's the P-51 to Uber(although some seem to think it is and they are surely not all American), and sure as heck we don't want it to be porked either. Just like any other plane in here we want it as close to real as a computer generated game and Oleg and Co. can provide us. I think they have done a wonderful job with this game no matter what bugs/issues there have been. They will be fixed and we will be the beneficiary's(Sp.?) of that./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

More likely we'll just post some complaints, and some charts showing the correct values, and once we feel assured that the dev team has noticed, we'll shut up and wait, only to get panned by the LWers for whining, while they pat themselves on the back for not whining.

It's only what happen the last threee times a US fighter has been improperly modelled. Most of the sound and fury will come from people bemoning the "AmeriWhiners."

Honestly, I doubt there would be nearly as many complaints about US whining if we actually did shut the forums down with a bulk of whining. We might actually get things done that way; it always works for the LWers.

Then again, we're all just evil American's, so it's not like we could actually do things right, now is it?

If the P-40 and the Jug are any indication then I am not worried. Sure the Jug has some issues...so did the P-40 before the patch..now both planes are better. I have no doubt the P-51 will be a good plane. If it isnt then I have no doubt it will be corrected.

The 51 will be alright, as long as people fly it like a FW and not like a Yak. If they try to turnfight down low they won't like the FM at all.
