I don't build them, but I do like to float around in them.

Looks like you are doing an outstanding job.

How much od u spend on the wood? I am planing to build a "Banya" in my back yard, its the Russian version of the Suana, it would cost me around $3000 for the materials.

heres a typical look

Goat is that a "Layout Boat" for diver duck hunting?........If so, be sure to add a few (3-5) 1/2" x 1/2" strips on bottom to both protect it and work somewhat like a keel.....Pure flat means pure pain to make it run straight.

It's like a layout boat but bigger (OAL 14'7") we call 'em marshboats. I cut the keel strips and will put them on after I glass the bottom. Sounds like you've been around a few boats in your day http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

My buddy is heading to Senegal soon to build (with local help) a 49ft and a 60ft hull which should become a catamaran by autumn; he sure could use a dingi...

What kind of armament will it have? Doesn't look big enough for a torpedo; maybe dual 50's on the stern?

Designed and built my own 14'6" racing tunnel boat. Powered by a stock 75hp Evenrude and was competitive.

A built a boat once... it sunk. I built a model airplane... it crashed. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

I guess I'll just stick to cars. Can't sink or fall out of the sky.

BSS_Goat

Zues-cat: I'm thinking quad 50's in case I get the ducks on the water.

Luftluuver: I'm putting a 30hp Evinrude on this, should do OK, but not a racer. You got any pictures?

Jasko76: Don't try skydiving http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Hi Goat!

I'm boatbuilder by profession. Done it for some 15+ years. Not at the moment tho due to university studies.
These plywood/epoxy projects are nice to see. What epoxy do you use? West system?

Some ten years back I developed a surtain quick building method to produce 22-feet runabouts in plywood/epoxy. A method somebody would call deltawood http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

that's lookin good! I helped one of my Uncles build a small (14' I think?) sailboat, many moons ago. She was a sturdy little sucker http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif used to take her out to Deer Island quite often ..my family lived on the gulf coast at the time. Anyway, nice job so far!

Boats are undermodeled. I'm buoyant without them.

I'm almost done, put it in the river and ran it today. Did not sink, so I'm calling it a success!!

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j141/goatkisser/MVC-001S.jpg

Some minor mods left, along with the final camo pattern and I'll be done.

Very nice, good job, will you build me a 46 foot gillnetter, please!
I like the way you parked her next to the hammock, for some easy admirering. Is that a black walnut tree, those nuts will stain her on impact http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

The greatest successes of them all in boatbuiling terms.

It allways is when all those hours of planning, those hours of work and all those money spent will proof them selves worthwhile http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif.

A special feeling.

Will she be for fishing purposes?

She turned out nice! Looks like something special forces would use. Will there be an outboard motor? If so you should camo it too.
Very nice work indeed. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif
