View Full Version : Suggestion for ships heavy flak, and some others

1) Right now on the FMB we have this:

Is it possible to have something like this?

It means add the option of setting 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the flak of the ship functional. This would be needed on big ships like carriers, battleships, cruisers, and maybe destroyers with lots of flaks. That way we could build missions with more ships, that still have some flak functional, but without the insane, though realistic, quantity of flak that there is now.
On the images the fleet is a task force of two carriers (theoretichal Saratoga and Enterprise), three cruiser and 4 destroyers. The destroyers are not a problem, but with the carriers and cruisers the flak is imposible to make an air strike without using at least 60 planes. And not counting the escort planes, which is the objective of the mission. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

That way we could have big ships (carriers, battleships amd cruisers) already damaged on the mission, throwing smoke, where the objective is to finnish it.
I think this is more doable than the first one because there is already diferent levels of damage on ships.

With both options combined we can have diferent levels of sain and damaged wessels with diferent % of the flak functionals.

3) Another suggestion i have is for TARGETS on the FMB.

Righ now we have this on the FMB with "Destroy Ground" and ""Defend Ground"...

Is it possible to make that the circle of the area of destroy/defende bigger, like this.

That way we can use the "Destroy Ground" and "Defend Ground" objectives on fleets, because this objective work well on ships if they start inside the circle and don't leave the area during the mission. This way we can have 25%, 50% or 75% of damage objective over the FLEET.
The "Destroy" objective is good for capital ships, but for transports fleets, is a noh go. If you have 6 transports (or destroyers, or some other ship) and you want that at least two of them have to be sunk to have a succesfull mission, you need the "Destroy Ground" objective for this, and as it is right now the circle is too small for a small fleet of 4-6 transports more two or three destroyers, without having ships geting out of the circle.

4) This is one reqiested from a long time, and that is to have the speed parameter on vehicles and armor.

It would be extremely helpfull for coordinating tanks and vehicles movements on ground attack missions.

Well, i really hope that this suggestions are possible to make, and be made.

Nice ideas. I'd add in that it'd be nice to be able to set the sinking time, maybe as a multiplier of the current sinking time.

this is off topic but could you answer me all the same?
If you're on a carrier, and it gets hit by sat, torpedos, does it A. Blow you up? and B. if it's sunk, do you just explode, or do you slowly roll under with the carrier? That would be cool to be scrambing to take off, see some Kates peel off and drop some torps on your carrier dealing the final blow, then barely make it off the deck and it lists to the side, spilling other unfortunate planes in your flight into the drink.

I dont know about the explossion, but if the ship is sinking you sink with it, so you can rush to take off but it would be dificult because the carriers, as far as i saw, start sinking from the bow.
