Okay, so when AEP was the latest IL2 product out on the market, I was happily chugging along with sounds. Now that PF has come out, since version 3.00 and now into 3.02bm I do not have any sounds in game except for menu music, but on the rare occasion that the menu music plays it is very choppy and bleepy. It sounds like a broken record. Some of you guys may think the sounds in the game aren't so good, well, I'm playing without any at all, and I'll tell you, it stinks! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
Here are my system specs, what can I do to solve this? (besides getting a new computer)

Merged install PF+FB+AEP
Dell Dimension V400c desktop
NVidia GeForce 2 MX graphics card
7 gigs of HD space left on my 21 Gig HD.
384 MB RAM
Yamaha PCI DS1 soundcard
Windows 2000

Please help me! I really want to hear the corsair whine and my P-40 drone!

Post your dxdiag report and a description of the problem in the IL2 Community Help (technical support) forum.

Just hit start and open the "run" console and write dxdiag in the box and go.
Save the report in a folder of choice.
U may want to edit out personal info before u send it to the board. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Ditch 2K and install XP. Much better.

All good advice Boosher. I'd recommend XP as well and get that DX Diagnostic. We'll get you straight in no time.

Here is a link to walk you through the DXDiag test: http://www.airwarfare.com/tech/system.htm

Something similar happened to me when I installed the last (3.02bm) patch - I experienced engine sounds fading in and out.

How I fixed it.

I simply used the il2setup program to reset my soundcard to it's true setting (Soundblaster Live! for my Audigy Card) - I was using custom settings before which worked fine untl the 3.02bm pacth.

Anyway I hope that helps.
