I was watching the newest trailer of ACR and I noticed how the peoples clothes, bodies, and shapes aren't as great graphical wise as Ezio's people. I feel like they don't care about Altair's sequence so they just quickly did them and didn't even try with the graphics.

I know this may seem pointless to you guys out there but every little thing matters.

Here are some pictures of the differences.

Here you see how bad the graphics are when it comes to their clothes. It's as if they have AC1's graphics back.

Here you can see how jagged the edges are on Abbas's boots (or sandles) and still not much detail.

Here you can see the assassin in the back looks like his face was cut using scissors and horribly pasted into the hoodie through photoshop.

Here the people clothes are well detailed and have great graphics. They have creases in their clothes and you can tell because the edges are rounded and well fitted.

Leave your thoughts of what you think about this.

the pictures are probably from the planning stages of revelations

i am sure they will be all polished and shiny come the 15

I really hope so. I'm a huge Altair fan and if the graphics remain the way they are I'll be really disappointed.

I wouldn't go by trailers. Ubisoft never seems to use max quality video files and most of the footage isn't final.

A lot of Brotherhood's trailers look kinda muddy and bad compared to the final game, same goes for the other two games.

As to your specific question, the character models are made by the same team, they are all given the same attention. They never purposefully make any part of the game look worse than each other. In fact, the important thing is to make everything as close to each other as possible.

This isn't the final product, so such conclusions should not be drawn from them.

I guess you're right about not relying on trailers.

Guys, you keep saying it's bad video quality, and this was 720.

If they were so bad then why did Ezio's people look amazing and Altair's people look horrible.

That doesn't matter. It's a Youtube video. Youtube video conversions of trailers are always bad quality and even then the trailers aren't of the final product, so they have relatively bad quality to begin with.

You're missing my point. Youtube does have bad quality, I agree with that. But Ezio's people look better than Altair's people by a lot. Even through bad quality. That means the graphics for his people are still pretty bad.

That was my point the whole time haha. I hope they're still in progress with it.

Those are obviously not the actual textures. You can tell by how it's pixelated. That's the marksmanship of the actual texture being compressed into a smaller file.

Precisely. They have degraded quality from the fact that they're from parts of the game that weren't finished, they went through conversion and they might even have added deliberate degradation of quality as a ways to keep people from seeing the actual (awesome) graphics quality of the game before it's released.

Hmm that makes sense http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

Thanks for the explanation.

I downloaded the Gameplay Trailer from playstation store and watched it FULL HD, i assure you that the game is gorgeous!

...unless the images from that trailer are for PC version http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I hope they aren't, because then that means the PC version looks even more amazing. :P

I can't imagine how amazing it would look on PC. I can't imagine how amazing it would look even on the xbox haha.

I think the most logical answer is that the Ezio sequences were more complete than the Altair ones.

Ubisoft would most definitely not prioritize some parts of the game over other parts.

look if you want to cpmpare the game by it's state now then i suggest you see gamplay footage not gamplay trailers and even by the footage it's not complete yet but it's the closest quality to the final game you can get
