I was scrolling through pricewatch.com today looking for a new GPU and came across what appears to be a new series, the Radeon 9550. It is a 128bit card (same as 9500) but supposedly supports DX9 fully. Is anyone familier with this card. It carries a price tag of a mere $75 as opposed to the theoretically slower Radeon 9600 ($90). Does anyone have one of these cards or used one?

I build COOPs and DF maps. If you would like some of them you can get them atmy COOP page (http://www14.brinkster.com/triggerhappy770/default.htm)

I/JG1 Oesau is recruiting axis pilots who prefer to fly maximum realism. We accept both veterans and rookies. We fly in VEF2, VOW and may join other online wars in the future. Go to our forums at http://www.jg1-oesau.org/ for more details and to apply.

9500 supports DX9, its the same chipset as the 9700. This is the first I've heard of a 9550, best to check ATI's product list, if it ain't there its not a legit card.

Its not present on the ATI lineup. They have just announced (a paper launch) PCI-Express X300, X600, and X800 cards but these are quite different from the 9500/9600.

9500 is exactly the same as the 9700Pro except with a reduced pipe. Its still full DX9.
