?? How is this a troll post? I have said we needed MK-I since FB came out. We had the Emils and Hurricanes, the only thing we really needed to do little BoB scenerios was a Mk1 spit. But instead we had to get mid/late war spits to match up with the late war stuff everyone is always demanding.

Do you want to model it? Then go ahead.

Please model the Spit Mk.1 becourse it's supposed to turn far better than Spit 5 and 9
Dont have a clue how that can be possible .....

Cheers.

Turn rate between Spitfire versions were relatively unchanged throughout the series...at least till major changes were made with the Mark 21. What was different is that the earlier/lighter versions were easier to turn because the stall was easier to ride. The much heavier Spitfire XIV with its massively powerful Griffon engine didn't "turn as well" because of a much more dangerous stall.

Ice...With all respect...but as Mk.1 is lighter,
should it not have a tighter turn at corner
velocity? later spit will gradually loose it's horisontal turn ability but gain in other abilities.Speed, climbrate,Firepower,Rollrate to mention a few.

Cheers.

ive always wanted a 1050 Hp Spitfire to face off against the Emils we have

the Hurricane in FB isnt RAF 1050 hp spec , makes it a lot harder for the Hurri flyers imo

1050hp is correct for the Merlin III at 6.25 lbs boost, which is what they had as a maximum when run on 87 octane fuel.

By the BoB, the RAF fighter squadrons had converted to 100 octane, and were using 12 lbs boost, which generated up to 1300hp.

You'll have a Mk.I in BoB.
It's allready announced that no new models for the FB series cna be accepted.

The more new features will be implemented in FB, the more BoB will be delayed. Maybe you don't care right now, but at the end of the year you'll be asking why BoB is delayed that much and when it's coming.
Well, simply it's delayed by our whining for new things in FB.

I wouldn't mind a Mk1 to play with for the next 2 years or so. I promise to drop it like a hot rock when BOB is released http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/351.gif

Spitfire Mk1 please! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

That is more interesting then a B1 or 109Z or the jets or other exotic planes that nobody fly anyway http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
