Hi All,

lets see if the community can help me get a new toy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

A friend of mine is going to attend a conference in Santa Fe and I'd love to have him bringing back a new Cougar.. in the US it cost some 150$ less than here in Europe..

So the question is: is there anyone who can point me to a computer shop in Santa Fe where my friend can go and by a Thrustmaster Cougar? I'm also considering online shop but I'm a bit afraid regarding having it delivered on time..

I promise I'll not use it to shoot down the good soul who manages to help me!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I'm 35 minutes south of Santa Fe, I'll see what I can dig up for you.

BTW, he'll likely fly into Albuquerque, so there are more stores here if he plans on renting a car.

Check out amazon.com. They have the best price out their on the Cougar. Also check this site out for everything you ever wanted to know about the cougar.

Yeah, no one carries it on the shelf here.

There is always the possibility of you buying it on amazon, and shipping it to me here in albuquerque, I would be happy to hand it off to him. I suppose if that idea terrifies you, i could buy it, and you could give him X dollars and have him pay me at the hand off. What is the conference, BTW?

You've got to be kidding you mean bestbuy didn't have in stock. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Bestbuy doesn't carry thrustmaster at all according to their site. The HOTAS Cougar is too expensive for a retail outfit to carry in NM, I fear.

I've seen the Cougar at Fry's here in Dallas. I think there is a store in Santa Fe. It's the only retail shop I've seen that carries it.

What can I say, I'm amazed of how helpful you all are guys http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Tater, you are just too kind! I would have no problem at have amazon ship it to you, but I wonder if this is not too much trouble for you.

I've mailed them asking some assurance regarding the shipping date. My friend conference (datamining stuff if I recall) is between the 14th to the 17th and that make it quite a close call.

Thanks again, I let you know what Fry and Miss Amazon told me! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Checked, email sent.

No problem at all. Heck, I'd enjoy a day trip to Santa Fe to deliver it, it'd get me out of Albuquerque. I can take my daughter to the Folk Art Museum, lol.

I live in Santa Fe. There is not much in terms of computer stores around here. Well ok there is Best Buy if you want to be ripped off (the only good joystick they have there is the X45).

Best bet is Albuquerque which has compusa and circuitcity.

Good new mexican restaurants in Santa Fe though.

De nada. Was nice to meet Claudio, glad he could have a more personalized trip rather than just taking public transportation. I even took him to the Frontier, a University hangout. Odd place, but no trip to Albuquerque would be complete without it, lol.
