I have seen the lineage film, and that has me started thinking; they should make a movie about it..

That would be really cool! I know ACII and ACB are to big games with to much information, So they should make 2 films about it.. maybe 3.. But I think that would make a really good thrillogy. If you ask me, better then Lord of the Rings lol :P

What about you guys?

I'd rather see a film based on AC before they make one based on ACII, otherwise they'd completely f**k up the introduction.

At the beginning of ACII Desmond talked about what happened in ACI? that would be enough to indroduce?

Dont you think the movie industrie has raped enough iconic gaming/comic figures.
i meen they may have done well with 2-3 films.
would be cool if the ubisoft team worked beside to making the film but thats not always the case.

No, because then people will be like "Why is this film called ACII, I thought it was the first film? And who's this Altair fella they keep talking about, why isn't there a film about him... and what the hell are these Pieces of Eden?"

one thing I've learnt about the film industry, games never make good movies http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Honestly, I donít see an AC movie following the game as a good thing.

For a gamer audience: no problem. A major cinematic picture for a general audience based on
ACII and Brotherhood would be too much.
Especially if you have to put Desmond, Subject 16 and all the present time stuff in it. Thereís
too much to be told, and too many things to connect to.

Even ACI is pretty complex as well (always judging from a general audience, since you canít
make a several-millions-cinema-release adressing only the gamers..)
And the Animus isnít a place for a movie. It works like a charm in a game, but I really donít
see it in a movie.

What would work IMHO is a movie alongside the game series. Meaning an assassin after
Altair and before Ezio. Maybe portraying the travel Altairís linage took (somehow it traveled
from Middle East to Italy) with the main focus on the assassinís order.

The movie could be called something like ĄAssassinís Creed Ė Originsď. It would be a nice
addition for the gamers and nothing too complex for the general audience.
Altairís story, the apple and the templars could be told by a voice at the beginning and also
introducing a new assassin faced with a new threat from the templars (e.g. they have the apple and he (or she) has to take it back)
Something like at the beginning of LotR, but they could take Desmondís voice for it.

Idí rather see a movie about an assassin I donít know (but fits in the lineage) than watching a
movie about a world and time I spent 80 hours (more or less) of my life with. And then even
be dissapointed because they didnít do it right. A game is a totally different experience that a
movie canít reproduce.

AC is a franchise after all and a movie would be a nice addition to it, but the game should stay
a game.

Agreed but tomb raidor was a good film and if they put in enough effort and alter the storyline enough it could work out.

btw does anyone remember the catastrophe which came known to be the super mario bros movie *starts shivering* http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I don't care how improbable or implausible the idea might be; I've wanted some sort of Assassin's Creed movie ever since I got into the series.

And, come on. Hollywood couldn't mess it up too badly. They'd have a whole hoard of assassins-in-training after their tails if they didn't do it right.

The only way they could make a good movie series about AC is if they added up to about 30 hours in total

If they do, Ubi would be smart to cast me as Ezio http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm fit, about 6'1", but the best thing is that I have a scar in the exact same spot the 3 guys in AC do, too, and it shows when I grow a bit of muzzle.

I'm also willing to learn Italian, I already know a bit of Spanish and French, and have many other Assassin-like skills http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Get at me, Ubi.

Guys, ever heard/seen the Prince of Persia movies? POP is a Ubisoft franchise, they made a movie and guess what... it was s***. Yes Ubi can make good Comics but lookng at their track record, I wouldn't want them to stuff up something like an AC movie... I think they need a bit more practice before I trust them with that.

It would have to be about 8 hours long or trilogy or a quadrilogy or balls.

Just for one game.

I concur, I think a AC film should be made period whether it be AC 1 or 2 or brotherhood. or all of them

I disagree.
An AC movie or movies should not be made unless it's from Ubisoft itself.

^ Which is possible. Maybe down the road they could easily make such a feat true.

they already did its called lineage, and it is just awesome, I can't wait for the bioshock movie, if they are still making it

I think the film should be about the ones who came before and the whole Adam and Eve story. Making a film about the games we just played wouldn`t be that interesting because we know exactly what happens and how it happens.

This is a good point, if they're going to make a film based around the Assassin's Creed series it should probably focus on an entirely different ancestor. Or i suppose it could be based around some other moments, like what Altair did after AC1 and even have him writing the codex pages or something and show what he was really getting up to.

^If you want that, just play Bloodlines it shows Altair writing the Codex. I think that if done right, the AC series could be awesome. But thats the probelm, it gettting done right. Like how bad the Uncharted movie looks right now. Mark Wahlbergh as Nathan Drake. Terrible. You need to follow the source.

Good point, although i ain't heard really anything too good about bloodlines, plus it being a handheld is off-putting on its own. I guess i could get a run down on wikipedia or something though if i really wanted too.

Didn't know bloodlines showed that sort of stuff though. All i knew about it was that it was about Altair lol.

on topic though - Any film based on the ac series would be an instant watch for me if it was done by the same people who did Lineage.

Never gonna happen. Although Ubisoft does want to become a movie company too http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

it shows Altair writing the Codex.
And overlooked by Maria, lol.

I suppose..
I'm ashamed that Ubisoft makes those little kiddy games for the DS and Wii(The ones with Z's instead of S's). http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Once again I reiterate: Ubisoft has already made movies for their franchises. They made to Prince of Persia movies. Both horrible failures, lets wait a bit before something as amazing as Assassins Creed is put into Ubisofts horrible track record of games to movies

They did not, Ubisoft had nothing to do with the Prince Of Persia movie. And it didn't suck.
You think AC is a kind of God Game?
