View Full Version : Why no Online play?

this game looks so cool but with the online play i think this game can truly become a great one. This game kinda remindes me of splinter cell so couldnt there be a online like that. (4v4) 4 assassins versus 4 guards. What do you guys think?

Also the reason i love multiplayer is because in a game that is great like i belive this one will be, multiplayer helps the game live on and keeps people interested in it even after they have beat the story mode time and time again.

i personally see barely any similarities between AC and Splinter Cell other than ubisoft made em. and as most said id rather play a perfect, fun single player than an ok one with ok multiplayer<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

True, Pandora Tomorrow was the first one using multiplay.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The first Splinter Cell didn't support multiplayer. The following ones (PT,CT,DA) all have multiplayer and the mode is really cool http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

I think not adding multiplayer to AC was a good decision, first concentrate on the whole story/gameplay. Maybe if there's another AC we'll see multiplayer but games like the Elder Scroll Series have made it far only with singleplayer http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

People still go back and play GTA even after they beat that story why would you just put aside Assassin's? same concept big world to explore and what you want when ya want some side quests to do it's good i'm sure you'll go back and play assassin's all the time even after you beat it -_-

If this game could somehow put an online aspect into the game, then it would be game of the year material. (Who says its already not going to be though?)

Nobody says it's not because it is http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

if they do create an online multiplay they should definitely focus on perfecting the singleplay first. that's just a given.

Honestly, I like the fact that the team is concentrating their efforts in making a great single-player game in Assassin's Creed. That is one of many reasons why I look forward to Assassin's Creed.

What do you expect!? They're French!!

First we hear that assassins creed is going to be only for playstation3.. Then finally we hear its maybe going to be for 360... Then suddenly AC becomes one of the most ''look out for'' games for the 360....

Now they say (french accent>''no multiplayer'' later on they're possible going like... (french accent> Hm... *****.. it is march.. and the singleplayer is finished.. It is cool but we can get alot more out of it.. AHA! We tell the boss of ubisoft that the game will come out in may!! and then we make a multiplayer on it!! Yes!! that would be FUN!!

then we on the forums are going like ''wtf'' ''wow im so happy'' ''french people piss me off...''

I'm pretty sure Montreal is in Canada doesn't necessarily make them French....

Most what I seen they aren't French at all from what i've seen on the Dev Diary and interviews and stuff....

andrewmatsis,

We have seen too many "Multiplayer in Assassin's Creed Threads" lately. Please use the search function before creating new threads about a Topic of Discussion that already exists in the forum.

The official answer regarding "Multiplayer in Assassin's Creed" can be found in the very last post of this (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5251069024/m/1651005644?r=7311053105)
thread.

well, we can dream you know. having no would multiplayer might not be half bad. But they set out to redefine next gen didn't they, now they gotta put in some kind of multiplayer to do that, like gears of war.
Maybe they somehow make multiplayer downloadable later on, guessing if thats even possible.

btw, i live in montreal, and i've crossed the ubisoft building a couple of times, last time was a long time ago, in october-september, roads were jammed police everywhere around downtown, you guys won't know what im talking about (sad say). anyway, you have to know a bunch of french to survive in montreal, its essential. In quebec, some places in ontario, theres this special food called "poutine" that magically teaches you a bunch of french

not a big challenge... shot the guard kill the target... and I don't think that making a splinterCell Mediable version is a good idea... it's a other type of game... just because both are stealht and kill doesn't mean they have to be played se same way<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Actually, the majority of Quebec is french, english speaking people do live in Quebec, but not nearly in the number that francophones do.

I live in Western Canada, and belive me, i agree with you. but just because the facilities are in Quebec doesnt mean that everyone is french, im sure that there are many different nationalities at Ubisoft.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
