With 28 victories(20 German,8 Japanese) Caldwell was probably Australias' greatest ww2 fighter pilot and attributed his success to this.Comments on whether you think this would work in FB.and how to do it appreciated,as I can't seem to do it at all.

I think it would work, if the planes are flying at a constant height on a flat landscape, but why waste precious ammo on shadows when you can shoot bandits instead...?

well shadows are probably easier targets since they don't shoot back

theres a coop mission based on his 5 stuka's in a day thing on netwings

oddly stuka's are more of a danger than the escorts http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

I've tried it, since I read Caldwell's story before in "Voices in the Air". Couldn't get it to work either, but I was trying to shoot my own shadow. Definatley easier to shoot friendlies in QMB, an option Caldwell obviously didn't have.
