I'm still new to console gaming, but I realize some games might not look so good on my 35in. 480p CRT TV.
I have a few questions:
1. Did you play AC1 on a 480p CRT TV? How did you like it? Were there any problems (words were too small, detail was hard to make out)?

2. Will AC2 be playable (as in, look good without me having to squint my eyes and sit less than 1 meter away from the TV) on a 480p CRT TV? or will it only be designed for bigger resolutions?
Thank you.

Just get a decent PC.

Problem solved.

480p TV's are a con they aint actualy HD, PAL TV's have a slightly lower refresh rate (as standard most near the end went up to about 100hz instead of 50hz) but the screen res is still higher than 480p (brought out in america and other NTSC reigons as the TV's were lower quality picture)

I played on a 480p TV. The quality is just fine, nothing wrong with it and no problems but at 1080 it's still way better.

Luis-D: Could you read the words without squinting your eyes (or having to guess what word was what)?

Nope, It's alright. Just don't use small TVs from the stone age and you'll be ok.
