Hi, I finally made it back to Nvidia. 2 years I was happy with my Ati 9700Pro but now I came back to Nvidia with an 6800GT. Now been off for some time, what is the best driver for the 6800GT?

Try it and see, Death Man dude.

Use Add&Remove Programs to remove the preveious drivers.

I have found the 65.73 to work best for me in AEP, perfect mode.

P4 3.2 OC @ 3.4
DDR PC 3200 1536 mb
6800 Ultra
MSI 865PE

have tested most/all newer from Guru 3D

Latest 66.81. By far the best driver for the 6800.

Thanks for the link Buzz. Me and my squadmate were having random crashed from AEP with the drivers off the disk (61.71). Mostly when a mission would end or when you would exit out.

We upgraded to these and didn't have a problem the rest of the night (knocks on wood!) Thanks again.

Buzz, 66.81 may be the best driver for the card, but that doen't mean it is the best driver for PF? 65.73 has a higher FPS with same stability and looks as the 66.81. Compare it in the Online8 Inland map over the shoreline. ;o)

I've had inconsistent lock ups with every 6x.xx driver I've used so far including but not limited to : 61.14, 61.76, 61.77, 62.20, 66.00 65.73, and now 66.81.

I still have occassional lockups and am merely waiting patiently for the next newest driver to be released which should be very soon.

Without going into extensive detail, i know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my issues are graphics driver related.

I wish I could test it, but I don't have PF yet. I was just going by FB/AEP and the 66.81 drivers work good. They also work good in Lock-On. So, PF has it's own problems huh? That sucks!

If the truth be known, I think the 6800 card is still so new that it will be a while yet before we see a driver that will efficiently use all of it's full potential.

Until then......
