Ian Boys::
quote:
The next patch is very close and will not include K'land or Murmansk. The reason is programmer time/scheduling. The new maps are listed for the patch after that, though there's no reason why that should be a long time.

Three of us involved are on holiday this week (mine starts tomorrow) and thereafter things should go swiftly.

I have eleven words about this:

Put the maps on a CD and I will buy them

I would have preferred knowing what WILL be in the next patch...not what WON'T be in. But of course knowing there's still two patches to come is good news.

Mee too. I wish Oleg/UBI could make FB map CDs, sell them through UBI website.

what about the patch for the patch? Will the next patch after the next one patch the patch, or will the patch after the next next one pacth it?

SeaFire,

If they are going to introduce a bunch of new planes then I'm glad they plan patch after that. There are always a couple issues when new a/c are intoduced.

The world we live in isnt perfect you know!

Just ease back and let things take their time, atleast waiting is all you have to do http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif.

What a great sim. There has been a steady stream of patches for years. Some we paid for but most are free.
Then if were lucky the whole thing will start over again with BOB..patch....patch...patch...MAW...patch...patch. ..patch..etc...etc.
We are a lucky, sometimes ungratefull bunch, but most appreciate what a great sim this is.

S!

Thanks for the info. Although we won't get new maps for the next patch, I think this is better.

Imagine if we have to download some 100-200 mb for the (full) patch, then compare with a - say - 50mb patch followed by another 50mb few weeks later.

Ofcourse, for those who have a very fast internet connection, this might matters little. But for the rest who don't, this will ease their download time considerably.

Thanks for the news.

Alternativly and official Bit torrent link for download would help.
