So i just bought the book and i`m about 4 chapters in its a really good book because it explains some things differently but also adds to what happens such as Ezio giving his father and brothers a proper burial

Yes but it says the pope killed himself when Ezio tells him there was nothing in the vault...

It just says *POSSIBLE (ANTI)SPOILER* <span class="ev_code_WHITE">"he took poison", it doesn't actually say he died.</span> If the book is to be considered canon to the main story, then <span class="ev_code_WHITE">we can assume he survived. Ezio survived multiple stab wounds, as well as all the other injuries he sustained during combat</span>, so it seems likely.
