Wrong. It's the Spitfire MkIX 25lbs and you find it on the British side.

Wrong wrong WRONG!
It's called La-5/7 and you'll find it on the Soviet side.

Seriously, it's called the Heinkel Lerche.

If you really want a space ship, the BI-6 will get you there in a few minutes. We had an online race to 8000m: Lerche vs Komet vs BI-6. It was close between the Lerche and Komet, but by the time they reached 8000 I was at 15000 and still going http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

You're refering to the Lerche. It takes off vertically.

How did you manage to use its speed when it wants to tumble like an ostrich wearing a concrete helmet trying to fly?

So that's the magic number. I had thought it was lower http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif I guess the Bi-1's not such a death trap after all.
