I just set up a machine with a 2.4c and a 64mb Radeon 7000 video card for my aunt. I'm using FB/AEP to burn it in. To my surprise, with the proper eye candy sacrifices, its playable.

What temps should I be seeing under load and at idle with a stock heatsink?

depends on your room temperature, but usually not above 50-55?C

So 38C doing a virus scan and 43C in gameplay with a 29C idle at 72F would be okay? I seem to remember reading that Northwoods ran in the high 30's during gameplay, but I can't find the posts now. The heatsink was on and off several times debugging the setup and the AS5 is probably worse for the wear, I wondered if the 43C meant I should clean it up and start with a fresh dot of AS5?
