S!

Greetings all and sundry, and you other fella's too.

A while back i started a disscusion on the use or introduction of special ordinance mainly in the form of droppable flares/smoke/incedaries for the purpose of marking targets. Yes Pathfinder Work.

I would like to ask for this again please, there are many records of pilots or crewmen dropping such munitions with the sole pupose of marking targets.

Having static smoke/fire/lights added to version 3.03 prompted my memory of this request and i think it would bring a nice element to the already supurb game.

I think this would rock, and I've been an advocate of it for a long time. I've been trying to get some other things added if possible.

Para-Cargo: was added to the C-47/Li-2/L2D
Want it added to:

Ju-52
Po-2/U-2VS (one package only)
Fi-156 (one package only)
Fw-189
H8K1
He-111's
B-17's
B-24's
B-25's
Blenheims

I know at some points during the war each of these planes was used to carry cargo, especially the Fi-156, Po-2, Fw-189.

There are a few things I'd like to get added to the Po-2 I have evidence of their existence in a .pdf file and books.

Hospital beds, used to transport wounded.
Flares (of course)
Cargo (one box of para-cargo)

I have been thinking of the same since I read Enemy Coast Ahead and that was long time ago. Too lazy to elaborate in the boards, I was thinking of some way to simulate it, like placing one of those new fires inside a building and making the marker plane go bombing and making the fire visible, but of course, to see those implemented in the game (incendiaries, and flares) would be really lovely. Night coop missions would have a new dimension.

I absolutly vote for this one.

I agree!

This would be a great addition adding dimensions to the game with little real effort.

In Enemy Coast Ahead didnt they just drop flares and smoke out the window, or a tail gunner would do it on request of the pilot, in the early days, later they developed more sophisticated methods.

I vote for this one too! Not that this is a democracy or anything lol but it would be very kewl!

kuikueg, the betty has inceduries i think http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

betty is also incedury http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

allied bombers dropped food for dutch i think (with agreement of germans)

also raf fliers (many polish) flew b24s from italy to warsaw, during the uprising to drop supplies, rooftop height, flaps and gear down, to drop on increasingly small area's. gunners fired back at the germans on ground.

losses where heavy on those missions http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
