Sorry if this has been covered before. Looking over the patch threads has left me a bit confused. I have a new merged install of PF and FB/AEP Gold Pack, no patches. I intend to just fly solo on my computer, no online flying. Which, if any, patches do I need, and in what order should they be applied? TIA.

Look here:

http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/4721047273

Edit: Of course you dont need to patch if you only play offline, but the patches do fix various bugs and adds new content (planes and maps which unfortunately can not be added seperately).

List of changes here: (Note some of the d/l links are dead there)

After you install all your CD-ROMs (starting with FB and ending with PF), install these patches in the following order:
-3.03m
-4.01m
-4.02m

Even if you don't play online you'll want the patches for campaign and bug fixes, plus the new maps and planes. Check this link to see what the patches add: http://www.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/boards/bbs/ultimatebb....topic;f=144;t=001986 (http://www.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/boards/bbs/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=144;t=001986)

Thanks for the quick responses! I'll start downloading patches and applying them, and hope there are no problems. Anything I should be wary of during patching?

Only that you get the right patches. Check the file sizes against those listed in the thread at the top of the forum. There may be a minor difference in the listed size as some sites list size in metric MBytes and some list in computer MBytes (metric is 1000,000 bytes per Mbyte, computer is 1,048,576 bytes per MB) but it should be close.

If you are only flying offline then consider some great utilities. The UQMG.. for one.... You might want to hit the Sturmovik Essentials link in my sig and do some exploring. Or hit any one of these links at AW.C.

UTILITIES (http://www.airwarfare.com/tech/utilities.htm)*ESSENTIAL FILES (http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/FB/fb_essential_files.htm#048)
