hey! i just purchased pacific fighters and i am immediately stuck, literally. the game cam with no book and i can't find one online. my main question though is how do i take off from the carrier? i seem to be able to do all the training mission says, but the plane will not move. is there a command to release the holding cable?
this game looks like it could be fun, but i am getting frustrated. thanks in advance for any help

Yes, it's called 'Chocks' and you need to assign a key to it via 'Controls'.
(Click on the right part of the screen, next to 'Chocks', press the key you want to use for it)

(Though it's not releasing a cable, it's releasing the chocks http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif)

also, you could use the lazy-man's aproach and use auto-pilot to take-off.

and also, if there isnt a manual, there should be one on the disc as a PDF

I mapped my keyboard controls so they're easier to remember, and added user- defined commands</A>

F4F (Wildcat models) requires manual activation of the landing gear, both up and down.

There was no automatic system in these planes, they used a chain and sprocket system. You can see the crank in the cockpit

Assign controls to manually raise and lower the gear<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
