Yes, I have gone through the shoddy, bot-ridden system of registering just to post this.

I have BOUGHT this game retail, but I didn't see anywhere that you require a permanent internet connection to play, nor did I see that if Ubisoft's servers are down, it's a big "**** YOU!" and an immediate crash to desktop.

Seriously, I have BOUGHT this game, not RENTED it.

It worked fine before with just a few crashes, but now I keep crashing because Ubisoft's servers don't work correctly.

And if you don't choose to remove the DRM, then fine. I'll just pirate every Ubisoft game from now on.

If you read these forums before there was all hell and trouble with this. I can't speak for myself about this game, I don't have it on PC, but I'm sure it must say somewhere you need a constant internet connection. As for the crashes, most people have (eventually) dealt with it, you just have to be patient, it's damn stupid of Ubi yes, but it (kinda) works after you wait till the servers are back running.

As for a life lesson learnt: Don't buy games for PC, get a console

Well if people didn't pirate in the first place they wouldn't force the game producers to do such things to ensure they actually earn on the game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Beside i bought the game when it came out, and i have never ever experienced a game crash... only when my USB connection accentually fell out of the computer..

I have BOUGHT this game retail, but I didn't see anywhere that you require a permanent internet connection to play,
there is a large box on the front cover stating it needs the connection and another box on the back of the box by the requirements also stating you need one.

so this comes back to people having the inability to read the requirements for a game before purchase.
