Im leaving to Amsterdam in a few days and I have a problem. I would like to visit the Aviodrome. But I do not understand a word that is written in their webpage. I know that here are dutch people here so I thought someone could help me out. I will take photos and post them here for you to enjoy if I ever get there.

I would like to know how to get there, the costs, when its open etc etc.

And mods if you think this belongs to OT just move it there.

Hey Joonas!

How will you be traveling in country? By public transport or are you renting a car?

It probably is. Coming from Amsterdam I'd take the train to Lelystad station. The train runs direct from "Amsterdam Centraal" to "Lelystad Centrum". If you have trouble figuring out the ticket machines there are servicedesks where they can help you too on Amsterdam Central Station. When in Lelystad you need to take busline 148, you can pay in cash at the driver. 95% of them speak english so you can ask him to give you a heads up when you need to get out of the bus. Entrance fee at the museum is 15,75. It's a nice museum, they have a connie and last time I was there they ran one of its engines! BTW I dont know if you already plan to but check out the "Militair Luchtvaart Museum" which is the RNLAF museum at Soesterberg. It has a nice collection that is more military oriented then the Aviodrome.

Nothing specific really, just common sense that applies in most big cities. Depending on how long you are staying Utrecht, Amersfoort and Deventer (latter being a bit of a trip from amsterdam) have very nice old city centers with nice places to eat and to have a drink. All are easily accessible via rail. BTW Lelystad and the surrounding area where you are going is all "polder", land claimed from the sea. It is all below sealevel so if you see a leaking **** remember to plug it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Hey Joonas,
On a warm day you can check out the seaside at the coastal town of "Zandvoort" (not far from Amsterdam, you can go there by train).
