I tried the gam in 1280*xxx today, but did not like it compared to my 1024*768 default setup. So i changed it back. However one thing i did like about it alot!! was the font. It was smaller, much more sharper and sophisticated, and generally looked nicer.

Is there a way to change the in-game font so that it is more like the font in higher resolutions??

Perhaps there is an option in the conf.ini.....

Preciate any help http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The only way to change the game font is to change resolution. As you've already discovered, at higher resolution the font is smaller, takes up less screen space and provided you have a nice monitor is crisper and better focused at high res.

I noticed that too when I went from 1280 to 1024

I had the opposite effect. Back in the day, I almost didn't change from 800x600 to 1024x768 because the font got smaller and wasn't as easy to read as 800x600. I've since adjusted to 1024x768 fonts.

My chat bar goes almost all of the way across the screen and shows the last five lines by default. It's a pain sometimes when map makers build the bases at the very top of the map and I have to keep moving the chat to select a base. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

It helps if you have a big screen http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Yes, my 17" monitor is starting to show it's age. Although a good one at .25dp, I'm going to start looking into a new one when I build my 64-bit system soon.
