They can't say there isn't a place for them, but because they're busy working on the next game it's extremely unlikely you'll them added to this game.

Don't worry dude, that guy was not much better. We understood what you asked and Tully answered you, sadly your wish won't be answered (me I'd love those birds too...the PBN could be used for some nice Coastal Command missions...sigh).

Glad to see some young uns who like simming rather than just consoles. Which I like too. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Well, Slo, the topic of boats and heavies and their potential "flyableness" in our game has been discussed to death since PF's developement. Starting a new thread 'bout them is bashing a dead horse actually http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif.
I understand that, as quite a new member, You may not realize this, but believe me, for forum veterans it's little annoying (Your wicked writing style doesn't help here either http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif)... Therefore You might expect some "mad" replies, especially when this is not the first "H8K-PBY-PBN-B17-B24-B29-style-topic" You've started lately, haven't You? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

One guy worked on the PBN as a flyable aircraft. Unfortunately, he ran out of time, resources, and the games limitations on what can and can't be done made it impossible to finish.

So we will have to wait for the next generation of sims before we can see a flying boat. But it could happen.

In the meantime, if you haven't discovered the gem of a plane that the A6M-2N is, I suggest you check it out. Its a seaplane fighter.

Certainly some more...it's going to use new technology, plus most of us will have to spend money on upgrading our computers.

I still think of Pacific Fighters as an add-on (good but a bit overpriced when it came out) to FB/AEP.
