Which one did you like most?

09-09-2005, 03:49 AM
i'll say 1945 for the dogfights.

09-09-2005, 04:10 AM
1945 maybe, but I really like the one he made with the F1M2 Pete.

09-09-2005, 04:12 AM
I voted for Shiden-Kai. That movie is outstanding in detailedness like the spinning-around tail wheel after the 1st touch-down hopper.
Also I like the landing approach on the airfield while the "cam" is sitting in the escorting a/c. A little downer of the movie is the too fast a/c spinaround at the end of the movie.

With differential brakes, it may actually be possible IRL

Nothing compares to the Mosquitos at low level.
Fingers crossed for patch.

1945, be sure.
Truelly amazing combat footage

09-09-2005, 06:20 AM
Voted for merlins.

Pure reason: The one hardest to tell it's not a real footage, but animation.

Followed closely by Shiden, but IMO it indeed spins a bit too fast at the end. (ok, maybe it could spin so fast with diff brakes, but then it stops to fast http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif)

Omg....just watched Merlins.....that **** is insane...

09-09-2005, 10:32 AM
it sure is

09-09-2005, 10:48 AM
Pete...love the water landing and the ships in the background. Merlins very close second.

09-09-2005, 11:32 AM
You forgot "Landing Hien, Stunt, Wings & Legacy"......voted shinden kai as 1942 and 1945 put me off with the poor translation (would rather hear it in Japanese with subtitles)..Plus being earlier works you can see how flight paths are not quite there....Sea Bird made a huge improvement, Wings as well....Really all the work is stunning but you can really see a growth in all his work.

Impressive/Stunning as words do not do it justice.

Phew!€¦ http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif For a minute there I thought you were talking about this little begger€¦

He gave me nightmares when I was a kid. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

In fact, looking at him€¦ I think I will leave with the light on, tonight€¦ http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

For entertainment I liked 1945 the best. It would be even better without the "robot" voices.

The work after 1942 and 1945 is outstanding.

09-09-2005, 06:48 PM
That failed! I support red3! Gotta love it though. I liked the animation in 45, especially the kid running around and the midair. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

The pete is great, with recognizable classes of IJN ships. Merlins is the best though, as it looks photographic, and the sounds....you guys turn the volume up on that low pass, which was outrageously dramatic and so well done. I cant stop wathcing that. Would make a good preamble to a cmpn project if someone could get permission. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

09-10-2005, 12:29 AM
That it would! I wish for his next project Tochy would make something on a Ki-61; all we have now is one landing http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

He should do one called "Peregrines" along similar lines to 1945.

Come in Mr Bond, I've been expecting you... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

You know in about ten years time, these sort of movies will be homework projects for 10 year-olds. In the meantime, might be worth sending this Tochy chappie some blueprints http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

09-10-2005, 04:25 PM
Mr Bond.... Hah, more like Victor Meldrew http://www.wingwalkers.org/Forum/images/smiles/eusa_doh.gif

Hmmm... Your supplication is intriguing enough to bear thought of actually completing the said task... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif But, I fancy, does the said Master Artisan in question take heed from mere mortal men? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Even Toulouse Lautrec did posters for theatres
- Orson Welles said that, and he did sherry adverts.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Totally agree Boosher, just listen to the sound in the sequence where the Pete rolls over. Spot on! also the touch down sound on water is perfect (I wonder how he does the sound files..)
