After a long period of absence and work, yesterday I saw the LIGHT and immediately discovered this Forum.

Sorry if this topic has been already discussed in some part of this huge Forum. Today I saw MYST IV in the stores and I was obliged to stop my hand from grabbing it because I STRONGLY suspect my system requirements are well under the needed threshold (G4 400)... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

As a player of all the previous editions - and most of all before considering a total upgrading of my workstation - I was wondering if a Playstation version has been considered for future release...

Somebody knows the answer?...or could kindly address me to the right topic, interview or FAQ zone? I've been exploring several sections without discovering any hint...

Thanks for your support! I suppose here around there are fans (and authors) who know _everything_ about the issue http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Best from Italy,
Maurizio

From what I remember, there was discussion in the past saying that it is very unlikely that it would be ported to any console due to the way the game works.

I realy doubt it'll be out on a console any time soon. It's built for a PC (including MAC) platform. That means it's unlikely to come out on anything that isn't sufficiently similar to a PC.

although i highly agree with the rest of them (and by the way... you reeeeally need a new computer) i woudnt give your hopes up on a console port. theyv'e done them for all the previous games (except, strangley enough, uru, which would probably be the easiest to port) and the port for myst 3 wasnt even mentioned until a few months after the originals release. but dude get a new computer!

I bought Exile for PS2, and after playing for about ten minutes I ejected the disc, put it back into the box, and put the box in a drawer. The game was soooooo sloooooow it was painful to play it. If they ever port Myst4 to PS2 I hope they make it possible to speed up the transitions, or better, to turn them off.

I bought myst4 today, and have spent a few hours browsing the net trying to figure out how to get it to run on my brand new iBook g4. I know now that my graphic-card is not supported, but there seem to be quite a few others out there struggeling with random crashes. I hope someone fixes whatever needs fixing soon! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You can say a lot of bad things about your g4-tower, but it sure as hell look a lot better than the aluminium monster g5's...

Have a great day!
