That's right, water is real dark. Pacific water is more blue or turquoise. Now it looks like the atlantic ocean. Water definetly needs some work.

White caps,Pleezeee....even just little ones that I don't have to have a $500 vid card to see.Never seen an ocean that didn't have a little whitecap action. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Have you guys seen Silent Hunter III screenshots http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif Water is amazing http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif and it does not use the new GeForce 6800 features. But of course it's a sub sim so the water is quite important http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

is there a way to make the water more blue, not so dark in perfect?

The near-black water with ATi cards is listed as a known glitch in the readme file. They suggest running with water = 0 or 2 to avoid this. Unfortunately, water = 0 looks crude and water = 2 is horrible on both Nvidia and ATi cards, so I hope this gets some attention in the first patch.

RocketDog.

I was under the impression you cannot have perfect
water setting unless you have one of the latest graphics cards the uses the texturing advances.
If I even think about using perfect the sea goes pitch black you might want to turn your settings down to excellent and sulk like rest of us.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

goto your start menu, look in the ubi...il2FB folder for il2setup, in that goto video, and in the scroll down menu select "Maximum Settings"
The water should now be blue http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif oh, beaten to it by another fix lol, well this worked for my GFti4200 anyway

For keyboard's sake, gentlemen! If you were marooned on a desert island for two years and rescued by a fishing boat, you would complain bitterly that they had no red meat for your dinner.

Well, if I lived in a desert island for two years, I'd surely have to eat fish every day. That's about 730 meals of a very few types of fish. I'd KILL for a steak... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
