I don't have a lot of practical experience with flying with a wingman, but I'm familiar with the basic theory's...
What my question is...what happens when a fighter with a wingman meets an enemy with a wingman?

Here is my practical question: YOU are flying as a wingman (in tight formation) and your leader shouts bogeys at 5o'clock high, "Break"!...your #1 breaks right and into the attacker:

What do you do??? You see that the attacker (coming at your #1) has a wingman flying 1.5km away (and above)...

Do you extend away from the wingman above and climb? OR do you stay with your #1?

Your #1 is not in immediate danger as he has enough room to defeat the enemy's solution (the attacker can not stay with the break turn and overshoots) but the attacker still has energy advantage...and now your #1 is somewhere below the attacking wingman...

What are effective tactics for pairs of fighter to deal with enemy pairs of fighters??

Dart's Page (http://www.darts-page.com/) ...

Movies>Instructional Videos

All of them are excellent.. I learned skip bombing with those videos, the Wingman Pair video is good.

Also Angels & Airspeed (http://www.angelsandairspeed.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=145).

I was also thinking about Dart. ( I know! Dirty, dirty mind... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif)

He wrote this excellent article over at SimHQ:

I know there are also standard situations in 2 vs 2 dogfights in which certain tactics will lead to an advantage. I'll see if I can look something up about that if I have the time. Might take a while though...
