Interesting. When I saw the Lorenz Attractor statement I immediately thought of 'Chaos Theory', then read it further down the article.

It's stuff like this that proves Assassin's Creed is indeed an epic game. Even 3 months before the sequel comes out we're still discussing theories about the first one.

You think the Devs actually thought about it all, or just play along as they move on?
Because if it's the 2nd option, we sure as hell giving them a lot of headache http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

While we wait on the explanation of its tie-in with AC, I'll explain Chaos Theory/Butterfly Effect for you. It's very simple. Chaos theory's the idea that everything that happens is caused by how events before it played out. Basically, if all the conditions are exactly the same, and the same action happens, all the same results will occur. There is no chance. Everything happens because of how things happened to cause it. A pencil falls a certain way because of the movement of molecules around it as it falls and because it fell or was pushed a certain way.

Butterfly effect is basically looking at it the other direction and saying any little thing you do will have big consequences in the future because that thing influences ten other little things, which each influence ten other little things differently than if you did nothing. If you went back in time and altered a few minutes, the present you return to could be drastically different because you would have interrupted encounters that led to people having ideas and shaping the world a certain way. Other people would have other encounters instead. And other thoughts and so forth.

Make sense, or did I lose ya?

It's all in the article that godsmack_darius posted, in the SPOILERS section.

So for example, If I killed a mosqitoe wheni travelled back in time, Then that mosqitoe wouldnt have done the orignal things it had already done in the future, for example, giving someone maleria, or killing a mass murderer with Malerie, their for several extra people dying from that murder who was never killed form Maleria, coz I killed the Mosqitoe that was supposed to kill him

Kinda like that

few minutes? it's enough you turn right instead of turning left when you go to a certain place to have a future COMPLETLY different.

yeah, yeah. lol i was just trying not to lose anyone new to the concept, so i didn't make it so...drastic.

So it is basically the effect of changing something in the past which effects the future dramastically, due to 10 small things (not neccisarilly 10 things) changing 10 other small things, and so forth

yup. although chaos theory is more about looking from the effect to see its causes. it's all the same idea, it just depends on which direction in time you're looking.

Edit (merged from double post): And I have no idea how it applied to AC lol

Any opinions on Neumann as Subject 16? And did you read the article bro, its pretty damn interesting.

And bro, it was probably a mistake, try to double post http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ha I haven't read it yet. Too tired. I was just trying to open the floor to more speculation, but I'm all about Chaos Theory so I jumped at the chance to try to explain it lol

Chaos Theory = Win, but how does it tie with AC? The article itself said that more than likely AC will have only one outcome, and it's not condintional on what we don't or what we do in the game.

I'll read the article later when I get to the army and have more time (it's funny how life changes in the army when you get injured). Anyway, who's Neumann? cause first thought that crossed my mind was Neumann from Seinfeld.

LOL that was my first thought, too. But read lucy's emails (maybe vidic's or both). He's a friend of lucy's and he supposedly killed himself. but his coroner report is sealed by Abstergo, which lucy is mad about. She gets scolded for asking too many questions just because she wanted to know what happened to him.

Nooo, Leila killed herself because of a someone called NEUMANN, You got it mixed up,

But yeah, when Vidic says "dipping her quil in company ink" that hints a bit that Neumann is Subject 16

Teh Article explains it better then I do, youd have to read it guys

Here's the link (http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/Lucy_Stillman) again for those of you who are too lazy to scroll back to the top. The important bits are under the SPOILERS section which you have to manually open.

Man, http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif
Ubi really likes to keep us guessing don't they?....and for people like me (who are always trying to figure out twists and conspiracies)it's like giving a puzzle solver and really difficult Rubix cube XD

I had never noticed that the symbol was the Lorenz Attractor before and that puts and interesting back story for AC.

Even though I have to wonder if Malik has a descendant that plays a role in the future.

godsmack_darius

Subject 16/Neumann could be Malik since he WAS involved with an interesting even in the middle east, Which could have been Malik, therefore Subject 16/Neumann went crazy and they couldnt get the info from him, eventually thye went to Desmond for the information...

And why is everyone soo interested in the Butterfly Effect/Chaos Theory because it was on the wall?

You just answered your own question, "because it was on the wall."

Did anybody here figure out, or here about how to crack the pyramid code?

Fixed that for you.

And I know how to solve the pyramid code. It's the same as the square on the other side of the animus.
