Just a minor thing, I been reading about them on Uboat.net, it seems that the sub pens in the French ports were mostly constructed around 1941, yet in the game there are there from 1940. Heh, it would have been cool if they modelled 2 or 3 construction phases for them in the game and you get to see them being gradually built when leaving and returning to port.
maybe something for for SHV http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

They should have had trampoline covers so when the bombs hit, they just flew back from hence they came.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Celeon graps deep into his bottomless pic drawer and pulls out some pics from the bunker construction.

An french dockworker works on the ceiling on one of the bunkers in St.Nazaire

Here are some more but i dont know if they are also from St.Nazaire

Maybe these are the Keroman u-boat bunkers of Lorient. You can still visit them today http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

What is the name of this book you have? I'd be curious into trying to buy a copy for myself.

here's an allied illustration of how protective these bunkers were:

I believe the ceilingÔ┬┤s were about 6 meters thick. The only bomb that could penetrate them was the "Tall Boy".

Celeon has a pic but it was hard to photograph it.

You can see a bit of the hole in the ceiling.

Engineers later complained that the flat design of the bunker ceilings made this penetration possible and suggested to build bunkerÔ┬┤s with an pyramid like ceiling and several hollow levels in them.

Another idea was to bring the u-boat bunkers completely under the surface (with keeping the 6 meter ceilingÔ┬┤s)

Of course it was not possible to let these ideas become reality during the war.

The building of new bunkers were supposed to start as soon as the war is won.
