Whenever I open the patch, it always says :"cannot retrieve installation folder! installation will now abort". My game is installed in c:\program files\assassin's creed.

Im using this patch because everytime i go to kingdom, i get a graphic glitch with big yellow walls and i cant see anything

Windows vista 32bit
intel core 2 quad 2.40hz
2gb ram
directx 10
ati radeon x1650se

You are running as an administrator right? I'm assuming you are but if not vista may be restricting the patch from going into the directories it needs to be going to.

place the file in the AC game directory as vista doesnt realy like things outside program files editing things in the folder.

I don't think vista is the problem as I installed the patch I'm on vista too.

Just because one person running on vista didn't have a problem, that doesn't mean nobody else will have a problem relating to vista.

can someone give me their folder path for the game? maybe i could do the same thing and get it to work.

Sorry FYTJ didn't mean for my last comment to come off like that, did seem a little rude. I apologize, but what I'm trying to say is vista is a very confused little peice of software.

It's fine, no problem.
@NeverWorks: Did you install it in the default installation folder? I think that's the easiest one for the patch to find...
If you really want to know where I installed mine I have a special folder for my games:
C:/Programmes/Games/AssassinsCreed
(I know the / should be the other way round but I'm too lazy to go in word and look the shortcut up...)
