I must to be sincere........

I am more worry about a good sim, wich simulates as near as posible a real u-boot attack, more than in an eyecandy sim.........

I want the developers effort in this way......

Just an opinion only .......

Yes, AS LONG as it doesn´t mean that other aspects are neglected ( Gameplay, AI )

I´m VERY VERY CONFIDENT about the gameplay in SH3, but I´m still a bit worried about the Campaign mode.

Dev Team ensured this is a true sim, and I have my hopes up on that.

Cheers

Excuse me, but what kind of silly poll is this?

Do you have even the slightest idea how many ships were built during this time? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Geeze, I'm all for people posting their suggestions but let's try to keep it at least somewhat related to what is actually possible...

Think before posting, it helps, really.

Did you read the topic? Did you understand it? Some guy asks if we want to see every ship ever made from WWI to WWII on the high seas for you to hunt and shoot at and you think it's a reasonable idea?

Sure...

To me it's more important (and more practical) to have all the nationalities correctly represented than all the types of ships.

By this I mean the flags and also their correct status throughout the war years. As we know, many nations were neutral at the outset, then took one side or the other. Later in the war, some even switched sides.

I point this out because SH2 dropped the ball on this issue; that didn't even have Canadian vessels! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

ParaB, Ill be sure when the Mod editor is included with the game I shall leave you out of the loop when I make all the ships. It was just an idea for the programmers. I have all of the Janes fighting ships manuals in detail and a few other sources since I work for the government. I can get the complete list of ships ever built. If they dont add them then I will. I have no problem with that. I'm just sick of seeing the same "cookie cutter" style ships all the time. Mind you I do realize there is sister ships but still.
In one game called GNBNA (great naval battles) a DOS then windows game, they came close to doing this. I know the merchant ships were the same but during the timeline of history you would start seeing new enemy/allied warships leaving port.
Like I said, weather or not the development team makes all the ships doesnt phase me much but as long as they leave a door open for us to make the game fully flexable as for us to be able to edit/add an infinite amount of ships to our game, the gaming community will be happy. Its not difficult making many ships. Every filename is a model. The way I make mods is I make mini models first like all the guns, turrets, etc. That kinda thing can be "cookie cutter" made. You can kinda do the same thing with ships. The propellers stacks and such. There is always short-cuts to programming.

Modeling: I have Lightwave and a few other modeling software. As long as they give us the option to add stuff I will be making every ship then. I will make it public (with all respects to the developers of this game and understanding my work will then be their property). I like games from start to finish. I would like to see a dedicated 24/7 server (kinda like the ones EAgames has for battlefield or at least an option for us to make one with a DSL or T3 line) this way we can join the server anytime and, like in real life, be able to leave port and patrol or whereever we left off. The server will remember where you left off kinda like a saved game but only when your clear from enemy. I'm a perfectionist with map making experience like with QuakeII jailbreak mods and other games. If there wasnt programmers/modders like us then most games would suffer unpopularity.

Respectfully,
Taskforce1x1
