Just saw this on limited time special (http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=963352-0403-R&cm_mmc=geekmail-_-newarrivals_html-_-22Jan11-_-963352-0403-R)

I use one with the throttle from my worn out X-45. Quite serviceable, but the ff motor is noisy and the base buttons are not very ergonomic. However, it has served me well through much use and abuse. Nice price.

Is the FFB limited to shake?

Could be mucho placebo, but for me, resistance is there along with shake and rumble. Adjustable from control panel. The twisty rudder is something you'll think is either brilliant or a waste of time. I don't use it.

When first switched on, it does seem to have a mind of its' own, but you can soon adjust settings..even if the sound effects in the calibration screen are somewhat annoying.

Here's what you'll be in for:

I might seem a bit harsh on it, but the bottom line is that it does make an affordable difference, and certainly adds to the immersion - the biggest problem I've got with it is the 'tut-tutting' from the opposite corner of the room when it rattles (and it does this frequently and noisily). No problem if you've got a seperate room or live alone, of course - and wearing headphones, you'll be totally oblivious.
