Hi,

Im looking for a source of information for German AAA units. The information I need specifically is :

-Unit designation
-Gun type(12.7/25/88 etc)
-Location and date
-Numbers of weapons in a given location on a given date.
-If possible (I know this is a big ask) the rough dispositions of those weapons within a city.
-Support (searchlight)

If anyone knows of an online source, thats great, but if you are willing to share a source in print (by scans, or quotation) I am most interested in the areas for which we have maps in IL2.

Many thanks, any suggestions appreciated.

Regards.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I think that these units were highly mobile and often put together on an impromptu basis at times so I don't envy you your task here.

Good luck though. I know that captured weapons played a big part here if that helps.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

OK & w/ all due respect & that, but what is it exactly that you're going to replicate / reproduce / simulate? We've got some heavies w/ no cockpit so the only thing I can think of is a Blue defence of the Reich campaign / mission...

Just curious is all http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

@ fighter_966, agreed, may have mistaken 12.7mm (=.50cal) for the 12.8cm Flak.

@ salama I have often thought of campaign building, I have many ideas for campaigns. I did about 15 missions for a campaign I though of 'The Downfall Of PQ-17', (if that convoy designation means nothing to you, try Googling "plight of convoy pq-17". But I never finished it because I was never happy with it.

But anyway.... Im after this information regarding flak units purely to satisfy my own curiosity.

The german 20mm flak was called flak30 or flak38.
There was also 30mm flak, one made with Mk103

There was no 35mm gun in german flak units. It was the deadly Rheinmetall 37mm Flak18 (http://www.worldwar2.ro/arme/?article=333)

Yeah forgot that 128mm biggest caliber in their flak arsenal that was also allpurpose gun in German ships .Stationary if used as flak
Correction on my side 37mm is right no 35mm but there was 50mm gun but that was disappointment they start to develop 55mm but didnt had time enough
