I can't find it..
Surely one the coolest planes the USA ever invented in WW2. Is it going to be added in the next patch?
Sorry if this topic has been covered 10x times.

No...I don't think its done or close to being done. I think a third party was working on it...but they may have shifted to more high priority areas. The Black Widow is a fantastic aircraft...but in terms of getting stuff done for the Pacific there are several critical sets of aircraft that haven't yet been done yet.

It'd be lovely to see...but I doubt it would ever be flyable.

Yes, one of my dream rides, along with Beaufighter TF.Mk. X (it's that early radar)!

If only I had the skill to model it. I've got the time.

Wish this game was released in 6 months (no really) so it could've be done right, with the right planes and the bugs removed, and to be released on a dvd and cd version.
I'm well prepeared to wait for a near perfect sim than get a half baked one quicker.

Also spewin theres no Beaufort, another very influential plane of the Pacific theatre.

I'm working on it. It'll be in a patch sooner or later, but it will be as AI only, unless Oleg adds player-controllable radar to the IL-2 engine (very unlikely).

Radar in this engine? That's extremely unlikely, unfortunately. BoB would be incomplete without it.

I know if it is added as non flyable it will be treated as a bomber and just fly in a straight line relying on its single turret for defense while it gets murdered... It was a very capable fighter as well boasting 4 20mm cannons and a top speed of over 400mph.
