Ok, now from this one petty group of old cockpit photo's lets hear it again from those of you that like saying it as though teaching everyone a lesson.....

<span class="ev_code_YELLOW">"I won't be buying BoB"</span>

I in contrast however will....... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Let's just hope all those pretty gauges actually work, or at least 90% of them.
I like it when gauges work.

Sure it looks nice but don't expect this game to have nearly as many addons as the IL-2 series have had, the better the graphics and models we get the fewer addons we'll see. Not just anyone will be able (or have time) to create planes and other things with the requested quality.

It would be good (nah actually nasty http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif) surprise for most of us when we realise that our crate is emmiting white smoke, and that ain't fuel leak, but *cooling liquid* leak. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I can see the BOB engine having more aircraft than the IL-2 engine. When you consider the BOB engine being used for BOB, MAW, Pacific, Eastern, and Western front add-ons. People are already producing aircraft for the Battle of France and Poland.

On the other side, it looks like they have learned from the FB experience, and will make the code more add-on-friendly, this is, they wont have to decompile, modify and compile the whole stuff every time they want something in, but it will have a module/library structure. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

im sure the new game will be lighter tha sturmovik..altought it has best textures..ecc ecc..i really hope this title will be optimized and own a decent sound engine...that is the thing that really lacks to sturmovik in my opinion.

well...the quality of the pic is really great...
but, my computer, wich is yet a great machine (AMD3500+ 1go DDR+6800GT...)and i just can't run PF and others , in goood conditions... (all options on + water=3...i'm under 25 fps....)
so... thoses amazing cockpits are, really... amazing..., but, who will be able to display this??? even in 2 years, how many people will change their computer... for, the brand new "out of price" machines!!??
anyway, being real... how many people look really after graphisms when playing... ???
it's nice, sure, but, for me, actual games are precise, and cute enoguht...
let's put more planes in the air... this is more amazing, and real!!! (or more 2D ground objects, battles, trees, houses, an eiffel tower in Paris, and big Ben in london!!!)
and, sincerely, I prefer a gamme who will come with addons, and many skin made by the community! it's much more nice... (3D addons made by everybody... houses... to make the land less empty... more cool, for me!!)
but, life's a question of priority...

It would not hurt my feelings one bit if Oleg forgoes the quantity in plane selection and instead concentrates on quality; get the physics as accurate as possible (according to manufacture's specs, not armchair pilot specs) then worry about the fillers. I'd rather have only a handful of planes with believable performance rather than a server full of "SATURN V" rockets.

LOL @ Saturn V rockets.

I totally agree! I'd rather only 4-5 flyables per side initially so we can be sure of quality. I think most people agree too!

According to my NDA I'm not supposed to release these, but since they are several weeks old, and I don't think Oleg or anyone from 1C reads these forums, I'll go ahead and share them with you. Enjoy! Don't tell Oleg!

Battle of Britain, Battle of France, and Battle of Poland yes, maybe even the Med, but after Oleg's experience with NorthrupGruman, I doubt very much we'll ever see anything from the Pacific from Oleg again http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif
