OK, I got '46 for Xmas and uninstalled IL2+FB+PF beforehand.

So I've been dieing to fly the Lerche, but couldn't find it in the Campaign menu or even Single Missions. The only time I could fly it was in Quick Missions.

So is there no campaign for it? How can I attempt a take-off in it like in the demo vid?

if there is no mission for it, you could go multiplayer and start a multiplayer game, you do not need anyone else to join it, you can then fly them all, but there will be no aircraft attacking you, just ground flak etc......... will let you fly them all though..... wait a while though, no doubt there are people as we speak making missions so you can fly it as in the film http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Okay, thanks for the info Taylortony. I'll keep checking the custom missions board.

The Lerche isn't even do***ented in the Aircraft Recognition menu neither.

Yes, it is really stupid isn't it? The nonsensical part is the way it homes in on letters within a word rather than the word itself - and is especially stupid when it's just the illiteracy of dyslexic pornographer-s*** that is being monitored. Pathetic. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Just set up a simple full mission. Choose a nice map, set your Lerche on a runway somewhere with its waypoint at "takeoff", put yourself in the cockpit and fly away. On this topic it seems the Lerche would have had some sort of way for the pilot to tell his attitude while landing. The regular ball seems pretty useless for this purpose. Once you get the hang of the FMB, you will find it is just about as quick and easy as QMB for simple dogfights and much more flexible.
