fly the HE-111, it's right infront of you.

That is the ILS. It will activate when you are near the glide slope of a runway.

The top dot represents the far end of the runway. The lower dot represents the near end of the runway.

Another question re: the He-111H-6:
What is a Patin Compass and what information does it relay?

wow, I love the detail they model into some of these aeroplanes...

If I was an He111 jock I would be quite pleased with the job they did...I wonder why I never noticed the instructions for that little "gizmo" in any of the cockpit guides (and such) that are floating around.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I think it just wasn't worded well enough to say, "fly the HE-111, it's the instrument right in front of you."

Is the compass functional or is it just visually-modelled?

I think Patin were a company that manufactured automatic pilot equipment. This might be a compass associated with that? Or a master compass?

It certainly indicates which direction one is travelling in (and 180 degrees opposite). In that respect, it works...

Just made what might be my trickiest online landing in an He-111.
Flack took out my aileron control but I managed to get her home. It was fortunate that the way back from the target was a straight on approach to the base.
