Hi Ubi...great article on the front page.

However, are you still going to post the PDF manual, as you suggested on Saturday evening? Some of us waiting, night and day to get it.

Please end our suffering. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Unfortunately I'm not able to post the full manual for legal reasons, however you'll all get a lovely 60-page manual when you get the game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Excellent, so its not just a pdf stuck on the disc for the end user to print out then. I do love a real manual in my mitts. Adds more value to my purchase in my humble opinion.

That is fantastic news Ubirazz! I agree, I'd rather pay a little extra and have the hard copy in hand so I can refer to it while learning the game.

OK, those who have it already: Scan the rest and give it away http://www.ubisoft.de/smileys/13.gif

Ubi... that's a disappointment. Spent all day yesterday waiting for you to post it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif What a waste of time.

Hopefully, someone who has it will post it for the rest of us.

Thnx

Errrrrr, one would assume it's going to be a proper manual as all of our games have them. The only game I can think of which doesn't is Half Life 2..

HL2 doesn't even need one.

Move left, right, forward, back
Jump
Squat
Shoot
Use

If you can remember that, then you can write your own HL2 manual. LOL

That was laughable...I spent $80 and got a great game but no manual! Collector's Edition my butt.

UBI...can you at least get us the recognition manual as a PDF now or after the game comes out?

Krycek1972

I think that would cheapen the recognition manual that some of us have ordered as part of the original promotion. I know I paid more for the game from Ubisoft then when I originally had it on preorder from play.com just so I could own the recognition manual. It is after all supposed to be limited edition.

So what you are saying is that you WON'T allow the rest of us to obtain the recognition manual as a PDF AFTER the game comes out because you want to feel special?

I'd have gladly paid extra for it, but it wasn't available to the US.

True, but it would have still been nice to get one when you pay the money.

SH3 is going to be around $39.99 in the US and comes with one...or so we hope.

Yep thats exactly what I'm saying http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I guess an offical pdf would be ok but someone scanning their copy in wouldn't

And besides if you want to talk about promotions that people cant enter there have been hundreds state side that I have wanted to be a part of but once I read the terms and conditions its stated US or Canadian residents only so it works both ways.

What if you ordered a book from Amazon that you paid for then I asked you to copy it for me, wouldnt you be rather upset at that. I dont see the recognition manual as being free... I have paid for it. (Thats ignoring the obvious copyright issues of course).

No offence intended...just my 2 cents worth.

First of all, if I knew you COULDN'T get it, I would do everything in my power to assist you.

As I said, if I COULD buy it, I would.

Thanks for looking out for the rest of us. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

As you said, the door swings both ways.

As a side note its a shame you didn't have a friend here in the UK or mentioned it on the forums.

Maybe someone here could have ordered it for you then shipped it over there with you paying the postage once it was released.

My HL2 Collectors Edition came with a manual. And, wait a sec... Razz was speaking of HL2 as if it was an Ubisoft game.

Isn't it Sierra? Or is Sierra owned by Ubi? Argh, confusion!

This is a question i've been wanting to ask:

Do we get a reconition manual with the game?

I don't mean a super dooper one like the pre-order's,but a manual which we can refer to.

I don't want to spend half an hour looking through my periscope just to get some info on a ship!!
And can the manual if it is in-game be viewed say at the captins table?

Because the Manual might be a bit thin.
Great Game'but thin manual.
Even SHII's manual had more pages.
But they can beef up the Knowledge with the Video's.

Why don't you when you buy the game spend a few hours taking screenshots of each page in game of the ship recognition then cutting it out and printing it off. There now you can make your own recognition manual....

Someone know if the manual will be in color ?!

I really like company who publish nice manuals for their game.
EA is the best company for making ugly manual with only 5 pages and in black and white !
I recently bought Metal gear solid 3 and the manual of the game was really awesome http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

Yep, I don't know if I need a hard copy of it too... it would be nice but not absolutely necessary. It's hard to use a keyboard, mouse, and booklet all at once with 2 hands.
