Hello,

nice to see that SH III is realy coming now. We are a community of still active SH II gamers born in the SH II Wolpack League, but now a little bit more free in our interest in playing computer games.

But were still active u-boaters with a strong modding group. I think it will be interesting for you to take a look at our site (ufortunately all in german, but if you're interested a lot of our guys are able to write (hopefully) understandable english)

Take a look at
9th Flottilla Brest (http://www.9teuflottille.de/)
and see if there is something interesting for you

BTW: When will SH III Be ready? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

Kind regards

Hellody All,
Dying to know... what does a campaign with dynamic and scripted elements mean? Is that a dynamic campaign that stumbles across scripted missions every now and then? The new page looks great y'all! ~Ryan

Please tell me more about this campaign feature
as far as i am concerned it is far and away the most important thing in a subsim so far I don't like the sound of the description you guys have given of this scripted/dynamix campaign.

Please explain ?

Cheers
Easty

it would be nice if the developers would include Typ XXIII, too, the late war counter part to Typ II. I don't have numbers at hand now, but I guess the smaller Typ XXIII was as common as Typ XXI.

There were about twice as many XXI commissioned as type XXIII.

Only 6 type XXIII boats went on an operational patrol. So IMHO it seems a waste of dev time to simulate this type of submarine.

Although unlike the XXI the XXIII actually managed to score some tonnage before the end of the war. Luckily for the allies the XXI didn't come a year or two sooner.

Agree with Easty: this "mixed dynamic and scripted campaign" thing makes me a little nervous. I too would like to know more about what this means.

Congratulations for the project and the job done, screens looks so impresive...... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I am sure you do not want anoyig customers requesting features, but please take the following as a customer feed back.....

1] Mission Editor........

A good Mission Editor is needed. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

2] Lot of us are interesting un manual shooting, make the sim able to practice a good level manual shooting.

On this matter will be so wonderful to have manual shooting calculator rulers, like as Range Calculators and Whiz Wheel inside the game box.......... there are customer rulers, but to have them in plastic inside the box will be a step forward in hadcore simulation.........

Here the capabilities in manual shooting we obtained after years of job http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif in SH2

http://www.iespana.es/rotteufel/htdc_tutorial/htdcexercise.htm

And here some custom rulers under development by Kolbus........

Best regards, and go ahead, you have the best support of all the worldwide subcommunity........ Redwine. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Then you must be a happy man. In the FAQ it reads:

....What about the Mission Editor?
From the SH2 community we learned that is essential to give the fans the tools to take the game further. The mission editor included with the game should satisfy this expectation.....

Yeah, support for manual TDC would be great and is a MUSt for all hard core subsimmers.

That would be totally awesome. A full TDC set of rulers and such in the game box =D I'd pay extra for that, and it might intrigue some "arcade type" players to get into the manual targetting thing as well.

Agree with that...... I am ready to pay extra for that set of rulers........

An important thing to have is good feedback channels between us customers and to make it very easy to email the dev team if we encounter any problems with the new SHIII. I'm extreamly pleased with how the channels of communication through email and phone was with the SHII game when it came out. There were bugs with SHII and when we addressed them in email I am very pleased that I got a reply quickly about the errors that I have posted that teh SHII game has. We need to keep good channels of communications open again like with that of the SHII game. No matter how small the bug, the Dev team for SHII were most appreciative when we brought these to their attention in our emails.

Thankyou! Keep up the good work Dev team!
