Is there any external or mod for the game that let's you play tracks with rewinding, fast forward (faster than 8x), scroll bar, etc?

Sometimes it pisses me off when you compress to 8x only to go to far from like .5 seconds and missing the EXACT moment you were looking for http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

well a track file holds object & position data

the game starts & runs according to the data held in the file

when you view a track file your looking at the full game running

& seeing as how this is a closed-code game , i dont think any mod of that type is coming , anytime soon

That is sort of true for the ntrk files.. they hold more than object and postion data.. They hold most.. if not all the results calculated by the FM.. Well at least all of them that you can access via DeviceLink. As for the trk files.. they are different.. they contain the inital parameters of the mission.. and then recored the users inputs (joystick etc) and then simply plays the game again as if you were flying it for the first time and putting those same inputs in again at the same times. Problem is different it does not take much to get it out of sync and play back funny.. Which is why trk files dont work between patches.. A little change to the FM causes a differnt result to the same input.. That wont happen in a ntrk file though.. because it records the results.. not the inputs.
