OK. So im sitting here, 2AM in the morning working on finalizing the P-63. Im making sure the landing gear fits in the wheel well (so we dont have a P-51 wheel debate going on with the P-63) and I think to my self "Hummm. I have not yet done a tale wheel...." Then I realize something!!!! All my aircraft are tricycle landing gear!!!!!!!!!! Well even the PBY (if it had gears) would have been a tricycle gear! Lets see the list of projects I have done/am doing.

P-80
Go-229
P-38
P-63
Do-335
PBY flyable

6! 6 aircraft in a row with tricycle landing gear. There were NOT many aircraft in the war that used this landing gear, yet I found 6 to model.

Sorry for waisting your time, but I found this extreamly interesting. After its all said and done, I guarantee you my next project will be a tail dragger.

Gib

I am now accepting donations to help get the PBY flyable.

I've noticed a pattern to my modelling. I've done only cold war era british, and russin fighters. Of course I only have Milkshape as Lightwave, and 3DS Max are very expensive if your not a pro and need it to get a paycheck.

yeah man

all swirly and fractally

now it looks like faces

lots of little faces , or skulls looking at me
death skulls all staring at me

They want me
they want to take me away
NO NO NO NEVER
er eh......

sorry what were you saying? - got lost in the patterns

yes loads of patterns... hang on they're everywhere ..hmmm
sorry must have been those mushrooms i eat earlier

o yes undercarraige
yes that is a strange coincidence - even more so to yourself i imagine

perhaps it is your subconcious saying the thing you really want to build in 3D Max is a tricycle? - perhaps a german 1946 one ? with guns on perhaps?

LOL Fluke! Back when I used to teach computer programming I would tell my students its about seeing the patterns in things . I lost that job, thank goodness. Anyhow...

Is this a religious thing to you? I mean The Holy Trinity or the resurection after three days - talk to a reverent or a shrink - he might have an explanation but please do keep up the good work - it looks awesome. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

But Gibbage, When will we see these amazing tricycles of yours in the virtual air?
It's hard to think of anything else than: "When can I lay my sweaty hands on the joystick and soare the sky with my Go-229?"

Seldom has my mind thought "So close, but still so distant" more often than when I see the progress of your models...

I think it's great to have those tricycle-landing-gear-a/cs.

And as you have gained much experience with it I think you should keep on doing this kind of planes. Here some wishes for further projects:
