10:30 AM Ubisoft will give a press conference. I'm pretty sure we can expect a new trailer and perhaps even some new onstage demonstration.

I checked gamespot's schedule but they aren't broadcasting it, so I guess we have to wait for the trailer untill gametrailers gets their hands on it.

To evade all timezone problems: that's 7,5 hours from now, regardless where you live.

we need to find someone who is broadcasting it...

I agree, but I think we're out of luck.

Perhaps someone from Ubi can help us out? I know there are people from Ubisoft reading these boards..

Livewire on IGN is broadcasting it.

That's true, but you have to be a friggin' IGN Insider to watch. What kind of nonsense is that?

Damn you IGN, damn you to hell..

You need to pay to be IGN insider?

yeah.
it's like 8 dollars for 3 months.
I won a free 3 month subscription in a resistance tournie i was in so i'm maximizing it's freeness.
The feed really isn't worth paying for...
It cut out last night about 11AM PST? and like came back in 5 minutes before the Sony conference ended with no sound, so don't feel cheated or anything.
I'm using a combination of IGN, G4 and Gamespot to get the most out of it all.

11:34 - Looks like that's it. We're out.

11:31 - Switches back to Jerusalem, we must escape the city. Knocking over villagers, purposeful graphical glitches seem to pop up, sort of Matrix-ish. We must break the line of sight from the guards and find a place to hide. We drop into a haystack. Audience cheers. Jade says "awesome."

11:29 - Bad guy escapes, we're in pursuit. Apparently no two chaces will be alike. When we catch and kill him, we say "tell us your secrets." Switches to computer room, like Cerebro in X-Men. We share a dialogue with the bad guy about his sins.

11:23 - Jade Raymond takes stage for Assassin's Creed. Creative Director is playing game live. Showing the demo playable on the show floor. Set in Jerusalem, any building can be climbed. Ubisoft has spent lots of time on crowd interaction. Sneaking up on guard, push him off a ledge to distract soldiers below. Allows us to sneak behind them. Door closes behind us as we enter a building, it's a prison. Dialogue between assassin and someone hidden. Gate opens, closes behind us. Guards surrounding us. Voice tells us to step into light, window opens to let sunlight through.

The mysterious figure steps out of the darkness and tells his soldiers to kill us. Switches to combat, lots of different moves on display. Step on their feet and knock them over, stab them on the ground. Hud displays computer graphics in contrast to your surroundings.

11:19 - Didn't want a war given to you on a plate, this is an emotional story. Main character, Shane, begins to realize Mantel has a dark side, he's being manipulated. Defects to the rebel side. One man's journey of finding the right thing to do. Showing trailer, looks different from Sony's conference. Lots of live action footage, driving a pickup, soldiers malfunctioning or overdosing on Nectar, firing minigaun from helicopter. Audience cheers.

One more game...

11:17 - Moving on to Haze, David Doak from Free Radical takes stage.

11:15 - Key is back talking about new brands. Announcing new Wii title, Nitro Bikes. Showing trailer. Lighthearted music, showing definitions of nytroglycerin and bicycle, switches to heavy metal and footage of dirtbide racing, likes like Excite Truck. Can play online with up to six players.

11:10 - Sky turns red as you take damage. Can shoot through obstacles like fences to hit enemies. Cover system like R6: Vegas. Commands his team to take out a tower with a bazooka, enemy flies out of explosion, nice.

11:06 - The colonel gets the audience to chant some macho military stuff. "Everybody fights! Nobody quits! Always attack!"

Playing BiA:HH on 360. Context-sensitive squad gameplay. Ubisoft is describing the game as if the audience has never played an FPS before, and maybe many of us haven't. This is a new E3.

11:02 - Time for a montage. Rayman 2, Naruto, EndWar, Splinter Cell Convicted, CSI: Hard Evidence, Beowulf (only concept art), Lost (only TV footage).

Moving on to Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. Col. John Antal of Gearbox Software takes the stage.

11:01 - Showing video of Taking Back SUnday playing Jam Sessions and singing one of their sounds. Actually sounds pretty good when they play it. Maybe Tony Key just isn't a good virtual guitar player.

10:59 - Playing "Wild Thing," asks audience to sing along. Tells us we're awful. Playing his favorite song, audience recognizes it, I don't.

OK, single chords sound great. But when you play several in sequence it sounds really artificial.

10:58 - Key's strumming some chords, sounds great. Plays Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'". Speed you strum determines volume.

10:55 - Key says it's important for consumers to know about these games before they get to the store. Petz is 10% of Ubisoft's business. Entire casual lineup could make up 25%.

Also moving into the music category of games. Considers it different than the casual sector. Introducing Jam Sessions on DS. Has a DS hooked up to that huge stack of amplifiers. Awesome.

10:54 - My Life Coach based on guilt. Kind of a virtual Doctor Phil. Geared towards people who are inexperienced with gaming.

10:51 - Introduces new Imagine line of DS games: Fashion Designer, Master Chef, Animal Doctor, Figure Skater. Says 29% of DS owners are females, most under 15. Aiming for that demographic with Imagine series.

MyCoach series made for people who don't have a lot of time to waste. My Word Coach helps improve your vocabulary. Key fumbles his words when introducing, laughter. Says he'll need to play when it comes out.

10:48 - Tony Key, VP of Marketing in USA, takes stage. Calls new E3 "exhilarating," the room laughs. Talking about new strategies like casual games. Ubisoft calls it "Games for Everyone." Includes Petz, MyCoach.

Talking about success of Petz. Look for a lot more Petz games (great). Horsez, Dogz, and Catz are coming to the Wii this holiday. Dolphinz and Tigerz coming to DS this year.

10:46 - Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, onstage talking about the state of the videogame business. He's standing in front of a tall stack of Marshall amplifiers. Says this is Ubisoft's best year ever, in terms of its lineup. Has a licensed line of games, a casual games (20% of Ubisoft's business), six new brands.
