I read in a list of Hot Keys for SH3 that Control+Enter would set TC back to 1 (normal)but it ain't doing it for me. Advice on this appreciated.

Hitting A station key or the Symbols on the left like the Bridge or Controlroom will set the time back to normal

No, that changes the Time Compression to 32x. I usually press backspace twice, once to pause, once to unpause.

FlyDutch is right €¦

You can use virtually any F-# key to instantly stop TC.
I always use either F-2 €" Command Room, F-4 - Bridge, or F-12 €" Free Cam.
At the moment, I can€t recall with 100% certainty, but I€m pretty-sure the F-7 key will only drop your TC speed to 8x or 32x €" and does not stop it completely.

Best, and happy hunting!

Simple - any 3D station will drop to 1x, 2D (such as the map etc) drops it to the maximum allowed (default: 32x) for those stations.

Thanks for the suggestions. I find I spend most of my time at high TC at the Navigation Map.. so most often I want to slow it down while remaining in F5 mode.. I'll play around and find the best solution. Thanks again!

You can edit the speeds that certain situations drop you down into also.
