I was watching my brother play Assassins Creed 2 today, and I had a idea.

How many of you would like to just vault over low obstacles without climbing up and then jumping off when you're running? My idea is when you're in the air towards a low obstacle, you press the 'empty hand' button, and the character would do a Parkour style vault over it. The two I would recommend are the Speed vault, and Monkey(Kong) vault.

I want this implemented too. The vault in AC1 wasn't really used much, nor shown.

It doesn't seem like it would be that hard, or costly. Sure you could hire David Belle/Sebastien Foucan/Cyril Raffaelli or some other big name, but I bet tons of people would do it for free. Just put out a flier.

Traceurs wanted for Assassins Creed motion capture!

Strangely, the speed vault was included in an early iteration of Assassin's Creed - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cibQyqMqSlk [around 4:20]. You could also do a shove like guards do.

That shows that it was considered, at least. I'm sure it's a move that would go unused by the masses, but I can't even begin to number the times I would have used it.

That's actually still in the game. It's possible to do you just have to hold, I think it's the drop down botton when jumping up to a low placed wall or even wooden bars. Strangely it's not in AC2.

What would be great in AC3 is if they completely upgraded the freerun system. Maybe have different assassins throughout the game be able to teach the player new moves.

I remember seeing a vid where a dude speed vaulted every jump. It looked absolutely stupid! But the pushing a button to vault would be pretty good to have!

I'm guessing in AC3 we'll be seeing a more modern Free-Running Style with some more modern moves like the Kong/Speed Vault!

I would like to maybe see an assassination from a Kong like he dives into his opponent and stabs him.

Yeah. The point wouldn't be to look cool, though. Some randomization would help, but that's just more work for Ubi. I would love Desmond to be more 'Parkour' than his ancestors. Less buildering, more parkour. Especially now, with skyscrapers and other buildings with smooth sides. Although, skyscrapers could be the new version of the Assassin Tombs...

This all relies on AC3 involving Desmond more than or equal to a past assassin.
