I would like to know if this amazing aircraft is flayable in il2 1946, and is it possible to use it as a regular bomber like the b17? im not with 1946 yet.
thanks

Even if it were flyable, which it is not, it is a transport.

First, the B-17 isn't flyable in the game, at least not from an atual cockpit. (There is a way to enable it in online servers, but it can only be 'flown' from the external view).

Second, the Gigant isn't a bomber. It's a big cargo plane/troop transport.

But to answer your question, the Gigant isn't officially flyable. Cross your fingers ... maybe its the big surprise in the 4.08 patch. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

sorry for my ignorance, but the Gigant have defensive guns like other ww2 bombers, thats why i tought that it could be used as a bomber because the c47 which is also transport do not have any defensive gunnery

yes i hope that in the next patch it will be flyable, even beeing a transport, i think its an awesome machine

I think some did - not sure though - and some Tabbies and Li-2's definitely did. And what does that have to do w/ the Gigant? Beats me http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Is it possible to tow the Me321? Never got around to it myself, but I was thinking about the possibilities of making a Luftwaffe air-transport campaign. He111's resupplying stalingrad and the like...

Yes, the Me-321 is absolutely towable.
The weak spot about the gliders is that they never land at the airfield you specify. After disconnection, they just glide to land anywhere, in hills, forrests, fields, etc. Allmost none survives the landing.

I know that at some point of IL2 in the past C-47's would shoot at you - I used to set up gunnery missions against them in the FMB but that was around 2002 or so. Does anyone know if that has been changed? I can't test until I get home from work http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

The Me 323 carried guns because it was too cumbersome and slow to defend itself in any other way. And despite that, its loss rate in a non-air superiority environment was dismal. It was a sitting duck if unescorted.

Feathered_IV... Might want to check out Uber Demon. It has build in Glider & Tow set-up's... Pretty Mint for it has the Me-110 for a tow aircraft also.

Normal towing aircraft would have been the He111Z.

Think it took 3 ME 110s, to tow a loaded 321 Gigant.

Is this how it is done with UD? (I Have it but haven't used in years.)

Thanks.

Click on the "go" symbol at the top of this list of threads, then chose "personal zone" and "profile" from the drop-down menus. You can then edit your profile by clicking on the heading on the top righht hand side of the page "View/edit complete profile"). You have to scroll down to see where you cam insert the picture.
As stated above you need to have a picture uploaded at ex. Photobucket, and then insert the picture's URL (link) in between the brackets and
