That P-38 crash video is pretty serious stuff.

The ultimate" Oh My God!" This is good stuff.
But painful. Gotta send it to my brother. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Makes me think about when I'm driving home from up north Michigan, at night where deer jump out sometimes.

That's nothing. You should see what a moose does to a Freightliner or what a bear does to a VW Golf. Not a pretty sight.

The picture titled Fill-er-up, I know the guy that was the 1st Officer on that plane. That was a bad deal for all involved, came in too hot and instead of going around again they decided to put it down and skid off the end of the runway into the gas station.

It always surprises me when people see pictures/video like this and come back with some "I'm so shocked" comment. I've been involved in aviation my whole life and am a third generation pilot in my family. I've got a skydiving B license, a US Hang Gliding Instructor rating, and I currently fly a Cessna 172 and a L23 Super Blanik sailplane - and yes I've lost a few friends to these activities over the years. Flying is dangerous. Working on an a/c ramp is dangerous. People involved with a/c will die in sometimes tragic and horrific ways. Of course people will slip and drown in their bathtubs too - so if I had to pick one or the other I say better to go fighting for control buring in than gurgling away in 6 inches of water.

Badsight.

that version of the duxford P-38 crash video has more footage leading up to the impact (by a second or two) than the version posted a few days ago

hmm, what a wonderfull view of life you got. personally I dont like to see anyone die, no matter cause of death. Death i can live without, though shocking is the wrong word.

I liked the "why woman lives longer then men" photos. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
