Same as before...... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
(which can be seen as good (consistent quality, cheating/exploits more difficult) .. and bad)

Mods kill online play big time because everybody has a different version of the game.

It's still encrypted. Additions still go through the developers and are only available in official patches.

It's rather mod friendly... for instance, forum mods can play it without a problem... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

I was thinking the same, Dux. Now that FB. It's a real sonuvab!tch to the mods I hear. Especially Ivan. Other folks say he can't shoot straight, but I know in my heart of hearts, it's because FB hates him, for no good reason http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

It's because of the ten-inch tall row of greetings, smileys, sayings and pics that are in his sig. And it's understandable... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Come on, Dux, don't exaggerate. That row of smileys is only 8.4 inches tall http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

[ ] you have been playing Half-Life or any any FPS in your lifetime

Over the last years the MODs became a very important part for online gaming. Counter-Strike, Red Orchestra, DesertCombat, Forgotten Hope, FragOps, etc... tons of AddOns, for any FPS out there.
The only exception is Americas Army, but this has no commercial/MOD-interests, but all other FPS have MOD-support.

Since modern filesystems allow subdirectories, the MODs are installed into this so called subdirectories. And when you pick a game, the MOD is loaded automatically. If you do join a non-modified server, nothing is loaded, no need to change config or stuff. Fancy, ey?!

Sorry again, but that was the lamest excuse for not supporting MODs http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
